Something a little different this time.  Through my ears.

      When I started this blog 4 or 5 years ago, my intention was to have a way to stay in touch with my granddaughter who lived a 2 1/2 hour drive away.  That 2 1/2 hours seemed a lifetime away at the time.  Little did I know that before her third birthday, she'd move halfway around the world to Tianjin, China!  2 1/2 hours no longer seems like such a long ways away!  

        For a while, I tried to share my thoughts and memories of my two grandchildren on the blog as a way for them to stay in touch with their Nama.  There ended up being two kinks in that idea.  1.  The internet in China was far from reliable.  2.  The girls are both too small to read and too small to find my blog on their own.  It was evidently not a priority for their mom to sit them in front of a computer and wait for it to load my blog so they could look at a few pictures and have my little comments read to them.  Although I kept up with it fairly faithfully for a time, I started feeling as though I was alone in cyberspace, and I gradually quit putting up any posts.

       Recently, I changed the name of my blog from "Nama's Blog" to the current title.  I decided that rather than make the blog exclusively for my four grandchildren, I would make the blog for ME.  I've always enjoyed writing my thoughts down, and I've always enjoyed photography, so I thought maybe I could share my ideas and my views through the camera lens here.  If anyone finds me here, I welcome comments and ideas, but this place is mostly just for me.

Hi, little girls! Nama is awake and thinking of you. I MISS YOU! Right now, I'm sending you great big hugs and kisses. Make sure you catch them! Be watching carefully, because I think I'm going to be adding another book video this weekend. It will be a very special one! I love you, my wonderful children!
